I started offering veterinarian services at The Pet Lodge in October, 2013. I have been married for 37 years and have a wonderful husband, two daughters and two grandsons. Before becoming a vet I was a school teacher, having taught in California, Texas and Georgia (my husband was in the military so traveling was a requirement). After taking some animal courses and getting pressure from my professors, I applied to vet school and the rest is history. I have been practicing for 13 years, with the first 12 concentrating on horses. My daughter showed horses and I have always loved them so it seemed like a good fit. Having gone from 2 horses to 45 and now back down to 8, in addition to having a world champion halter horse, I have realized it is time to start working with animals a little smaller and always more loveable. Judy asked me to work with her and I jumped at the chance. In the last few months I have met some wonderful people and pets and am having a great time doing it.

The veterinary section has grown from doing vaccines & heartworm prevention to now offering microchipping. We are growing slowly and concentrating on prevention, no emergency work or surgeries. Veterinary appointments are available on Wednesdays from 1pm to 5pm by appointment only.Come by and see our work in progress!
